Story
'Friends of Truganina Wetlands Inc.' is a small community-based group of volunteers working on habitat restoration, community engagement & education, and invasive species study & management. The wetlands are known as a refuge for migratory shorebirds, along with frogs & reptiles and raptors, and as a key site for the endangered Altona Skipper butterfly. We're adjacent to a Ramsar site, unique in the world for its proximity to a major city (Melbourne).
