Story
Mama Earth has been a registered association for more than 25 years. At first, our main engagement focused on ending driftnet fishing, the fur trade, and large-scale livestock farming. Fifteen years ago, we started to concentrate on reforestation with the help of the local people. Environmental protection and economic development are not mutually exclusive. We are now farming small-scale cacao, timber (teak and mahogany), and bamboo.
