Story

Cogle Wood Croft is a new woodland croft in Caithness in the far north of Scotland. We grow and sell sustainable firewood and will improve biodiversity by transforming a 1980/81 sitka spruce and lodgepole pine plantation to include native tree species, flora and fauna.

We are also building an eco croft house that will be completely off grid, powered by wind and solar, water from borehole. We aim to minimise our reliance on fossil fuels and to help offset our carbon footprint by tree planting.
