E-CARGO BIKE is a cyclo-logistics project in Benin, starting in Cotonou. It deploys electrically assisted cargo bikes as an eco-mobility solution for local services: green spaces maintenance, sanitation, paramedical, promotional marketing, and transport of parcels. The goal is to cut CO2 emissions, ease municipal congestion, and combat fuel use and smuggled adulterated fuel in West Africa. This project aligns with the efforts led by the mayor of Cotonou, L. Gnacadja, for sustainable development.
