I encourage people to plant native plants.
As a member of the Climate Change & Biodiversity interest group of my local horticultural society, I organize sales and giveaways of native plants that I have grown myself, and I organize Earth Day educational activities in my area (near Ottawa, Ontario, Canada).
In my own back yard, I plant native plants, applying evidence-based best practices, for ecological sustainability, with special focus on native bees (400 native bee species in Ontario).
